Understanding Accessibility

Almost since the beginning of computer multimedia, presentations and applications have been created with disabled users in mind. More recently, this has become even more important as U.S. government regulations have mandated that government projects adhere to special standards of accessibility.

The term accessibility describes features of computer applications that allow users with disabilities to have as much access as all users of the software.
