Managing data files

This part is concerned with terms relating to storing data in a way a computer program can access it. They are frequently considered to be associated with computer science, as opposed to the terms in Parts A and B, which are concerned with the needs of computer system users, and Part E, which provides some technical information that might be helpful to both computer users and to students following courses requiring some knowledge of computer systems and peripherals. Part F is concerned with the way software is used.
