Introducing Hyper-V Replica
Hyper-V Replica is a host-based virtual machine replication solution that is built into all editions of Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V, including the free Hyper-V Server 2012. Hyper-V Replica does not require any special licensing; it is free and there to be used if you choose to. It will replicate running virtual machines from one site to another, and allow you to perform planned, unplanned, and test failovers of those virtual machines. This section introduces you to Hyper-V Replica.
