Device File System
Compared to the desktop Windows operating systems, the Windows Embedded CE file system is implemented with one root catalog "\" for all mounted file systems. File systems are mounted as subdirectories of the root catalog; one file system can be mounted as a root file system. A directory name is determined by the settings of a value with the name Folder, which is located in the key that contains the Storage Manager’s profile settings: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\<Media_Profile_Name>.
Figure 8–18 shows storage manager profiles settings from the Common.reg file that is open in the registry’s graphical editor of Visual Studio.
