Running GUI Programs from the Command Line
Windows will start any program whose name it can find in the search path, whether it’s a console application or a GUI program. If you know Windows programs by name, this can save you an awful lot of poking around and clicking with the mouse. Just type! Table 30.2 lists just a few GUI programs you start by typing their name into a Command Prompt window or the Windows Logo+R “Run” dialog box.
