Synopsis
Create or modify a power scheme.
Procedures
Use Power Options in the Control Panel to create or modify power schemes on the local machine.
Create a New Power Scheme
Start → Settings → Control Panel → Power Options → Power Schemes → select an existing scheme → configure {monitor | disk | standby} settings → Save As → give the scheme a new name
Modify a Power Scheme
Start → Settings → Control Panel → Power Options → Power Schemes → select a scheme → configure {monitor | disk | standby} settings
Notes
You cannot use Computer Management or any other console to create or
configure power schemes on a remote computer.
