Consistency of quality in your software applications is an essential trait. Even if you have a great attitude, and you write excellent documentation, if you lack the knowledge and ability to write good code, then the software is at risk, as is the user's data. As you now move through the standards section of this book, keep in the front of your mind the goal of building software that is consistent in quality, consistent in high quality.
