Creating and Testing App Packages

Once you have finished developing and debugging an app, you might want to prepare to submit it to the Windows Store. Submitting an app means generating application packages. Application packages are .appx files that you can easily generate from Visual Studio by selecting Project, Store, Create App Packages. By following a very simple wizard, you can get your packages ready in a few seconds. When the wizard completes (see Figure 36.16), it asks if you want to launch the Windows App Certification Kit, a tool that performs some automated tests to detect common issues.
