Event websites help both organizers and attendees make their networking plans. Depending on your need, these websites can do everything from help pick a date for an event to gathering RSVPs to selling tickets.

Consider the size of your event. Is this for a small group of people that you already know? Are you trying to establish a large event for international attendees? Take a look at the needs of your event first, and then check out the online options that can help make this a more efficient process.

If you need help determining a date and time for your event, services such as Doodle.com and Tungle.me enable attendees to rate options that work for them so that you can easily see what works for the group majority. Doodle.com also enables the options to be text-based so that you can collect information on more than just dates and times and look for input on things such as locations.

Services such as Plancast.com (see Figure 12-3) help you to review upcoming events. When you tell Plancast to “count you in” for an event, it lists your social avatar in the list of planned attendees. This social way of RSVPing helps you to visualize who else you know, or may want to know, will be at this event.
