Pingometer
This project uses an analog voltmeter to display the ping time to a specified server (Figure 20-1).

Serious gamers often want to know what the ping value is of the game server to which they are connecting. The ping value gives an indication of how laggy the connection is going to be. The ping value is a number in milliseconds. Thus, a responsive connection to a server will have a low ping value (perhaps 50 milliseconds), and a slow connection could have a ping value of 500 milliseconds.
