GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESSFUL CONSULTING

In Part One of this book we covered how good consultants add value to the consultant-client relationship by simplifying complexity. This appendix applies that principle to this book by simplifying the practice of professional consulting into a set of clear guidelines or rules whose central purpose is to assist in the journey of becoming a trusted advisor.

Table B.1 lists principles and guidelines drawn from professional consulting experience, organized in the four stages in our consulting cycle.
