Chapter 13. Content Management

If you just have a 3- to 10-page static "mini site," you don't really need a content management system—FTP will work just fine.

If you "don't do" FTP and have a fairly simple web site design in mind, you may be able to use standard blog software as your content management system—see "Blogs" for some suggested software.

However, if you have a lot of content and want to automate the scheduling and publishing of new content, then a good content management system is required.

A content management system will allow you to make sitewide changes quickly and will give you the power to easily integrate dynamic data. Browse these sites and you'll be amazed by the possibilities.
