Chapter 7. Blogs

Okay, I admit it—blogs are just not my thing. I have one (anyone who is anyone has one, right?), but I've sorely neglected my readers... mostly because I've been working on this book, which is a lame excuse. But still.

Word has it, though, that blogs are glorious creatures to behold. And when the writer regularly publishes, blogs are all the rage in the search-engine-placement world. Search engines love blogs, indexing them within just a few minutes in many cases. Everyone should have one and should use it. (Do as I say, not as I do!)

In fact, it's not a bad idea to have multiple blogs. You should have one on each of your web sites.

For effective product launches (see http://www.productlaunchformula.com), blogs are an essential part of the communications feedback loop between you and your prospects and customers, and may even warrant a separate "launch updates" blog in addition to your main site blog.
