Knowing is half the battle. Hopefully I’m not the only one who watched way too many G.I. Joe cartoons as a kid. Every episode ended with a public service announcement like “don’t swim in thunderstorms” or “don’t try to jump your bikes over a downed power line”—yep, so obvious that there are bunches of parodies of them on YouTube. After the G.I. Joe character taught the lesson, the kids would declare “Now I know!” and the soldier would add, “And knowing is half the battle!”
