Summary of Results

The plant achieved its aim for 2006 to reduce lost time accidents and OSHA recordable injures by 50 percent. The improvement continued through 2007. Although a 50 percent reduction in lost time accidents was not achieved from 2006 to 2007, the overall reduction from 2005 to 2007 exceeded the strategic goal. The number of staff who needed first aid and the number of near misses also decreased. The data are shown in Table 12.4.
