Starting Dashboard Design

By default, when you start Dashboard Design for the first time, you see the start page (which is similar to the Crystal Reports start page), as shown in Figure 24-1. The Dashboard Design start page display New, Recent, and Open options at the top. If you’re connected to a network, the bottom portion of the start page will contain tabs for Highlights, Key Resources, and eLearning. (If no network connection is available, then only the top half of the start page is visible.) This bottom section has a lot of great content to see the latest news on Dashboard Design, blogs, samples, learning options, and newsletters.
