Chapter 14

Troubleshooting Your Mac mini

Apple has built your Mac mini and OS X to keep running as smoothly as possible, but you will need to perform basic maintenance, such as updating your Mac mini with the latest fixes and emptying the Trash to reclaim hard drive space. If things go wrong, you will also need to troubleshoot your Mac mini — for example, solving problems with corrupt preference files, fixing disk permission errors, or repairing the hard drive.
