Recover Hard Drive Space by Emptying the Trash
When you throw a file from one of your Mac mini’s drives in the Trash, it remains there in case you change your mind and decide to recover it. But when you need to reclaim space on your Mac mini’s hard drive, you can empty the Trash and get rid of all the files and folders in it permanently.
If you find the Trash contains items you still need, you can put them back in their previous folders or move them to other folders.
