System Preferences
The System Preferences application is one of the most powerful tools on your Mac. The app is the control pane through which you fine-tune your Mac to work the way you want it to work.
System Preferences still has the same icon (Figure 11–1) you may have come to know and love in earlier versions of Mac OS X, and some of the individual preference files haven't changed significantly. In this chapter, I'll highlight the changes to System Preferences that are important in Mac OS X Lion.
