Chapter 27. SVG 1.1, 1.2, and 2.0

Version 1.0 of any specification cannot cover everything, and SVG is no exception. During development of SVG 1.0, the Working Group received a large amount of feedback from the user and developer community. Some was easily incorporated. Some, such as the lack of declarative animation syntax in early drafts, was important enough to warrant a delay to the specification. Other feedback, while deemed important, could not be integrated into SVG 1.0 and was deferred for a later version.
