This is a look at SPSS Statistics from 10,000 feet. Even if you know nothing whatsoever about SPSS, after you read this part you'll have a good idea of how it all works. You might not have all the niggling details, but you'll have the lowdown on the general operation of SPSS. Everything else you find out about SPSS will fit in the structure you build for yourself by reading Part I.
This is the only part of the book intended to be read straight through. The only optional subject in Part I is the description of the installation, which you won't have to bother with if you've already installed SPSS — and if you haven't yet, it'll help you get that done.
