12.3 SPECIFICATION OF THE FREQUENCY RESPONSE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FILTERS

At first we decide the types of filters to be used i.e., analog or digital. Digital filters are also classified into four types like analog filters. These are as follows:

  • Low pass filter
  • High pass filter
  • Band pass filter and
  • Band stop filter

Figure 12.4 shows the frequency response of ideal filters.
