In this chapter, I describe a number of useful little things to know, from 301 redirects to Google's enhanced image search; from various information sources to how Google creates multi-line search result entries.

Creating Multi-Line Search Results

You've probably seen multi-line search results, such as those shown in Figure 21-1.

How does this happen? More important, how can you make it happen for your site?

Google calls these internal site links, um, sitelinks, and they're intended to help users find their way into popular pages within popular sites. Google actually analyzes the site, and tries to figure which pages are significant. At the time of writing, there's no way for you to tell Google which pages to use (though Google says that they may allow Webmaster input in the future—and because you're reading this book after I wrote it, the future may be now).
