Naming Conventions for Datafiles
Datafiles are created under the subdirectory with the same name as the tablespace name, without the PSAP prefix and appended by an underscore and the <n>th datafile of the tablespace. Under the subdirectory, individual datafile naming conventions include the name of the tablespace without the PSAP prefix and with the extension .data<n>. Table 20-2 lists the tablespace names and the datafile naming conventions for SAP systems with SCHEMA ID DB1.
