SAP Logon Group

Logon groups help to better balance the end-user requests across different application servers assigned to the same group. The message server will direct traffic to the least busy application server in the logon group. Transaction code SMLG is used to configure the logon groups. Multiple application servers can be assigned to one logon group. For example, three application servers can be assigned to a logon group called Sales Logon Group and all sales-related transactions can be directed to that particular logon group. In transaction SMLG, new logon groups can be created by pressing the F8 function key.
