Snooping around the Google Play Store

technicalstuff.eps The Play Store is known as Google Play on Google-branded devices; it also had a former name, the Android Market. They are all the same: the official store for products to be used, read, watched, or listened to on a device running Android. See Figure 10-1.

The Play Store isn’t playing around. It offers these categories: Books, Games, Movies & TV, Music, and Newsstand. By the time you read these words, the Play Store is likely to be approaching 2 million available apps, and tens of thousands of books and other media.
