Chapter 10. Inside System Preferences

System Preferences is to the Mac operating system what the Control Panel is to Windows. It’s one-stop shopping for nearly all your operating system tweaking needs. You may need to dip into the Utilities folder from time to time, but for the most part, System Preferences is where you’ll spend most of your time fiddling with settings (FIGURE 10.1, next page).
