Specific Control Scenes

Specially designed control scenes are useful when you want to view specific model details and aspects. For example, you could create a building scene to highlight the architecture while turning off all other details such as the interior and site components (Fig. 37.5, Fig. 37.6, Fig. 37.7, Fig. 37.8).

Fig. 37.5: A building scene is created by turning off all interior and site detail layers. Then the scene is created and renamed Building Only. The Camera Location option is unchecked.

Fig. 37.6: The interior scene is created after the building and site layers are toggled off. The scene is renamed Interior Only. The Camera Location option is unchecked.

Fig. 37.7: The site-only scene is created when the interior layers are toggled off. All of the building detail is turned off except for the building shell. The building itself provides important context for the site. The scene is renamed Site Only. The Camera Location option is unchecked.

Fig. 37.8: A secondary site scene is created. This is the same as the scene generated in Fig. 37.7 except the vegetation layers are toggled off.
