Mail Tools Menu

Synopsis

The Tools menu, shown in Figure 6-12, contains several cross-component commands discussed at length in other chapters.

Detailed discussions of Address Books, Find, Advanced Find, Organize, and Forms can be found in Chapter 3. Macros are discussed in Chapter 18, and creating and modifying Accounts is detailed in Chapter 2. Program options are examined throughout the book where appropriate.

If Outlook is installed as a Corporate/Workgroup client (CW), your Tools menu will contain additional commands specific to installed connectivity options. The Synchronize, Remote Mail, and Out of Office Assistant commands configure their respective options or features for an Exchange Server account.

Tools Send

Choosing Tools Send causes Outlook to check the Outbox for any pending messages and sends them to the appropriate account.
