Appendix B. OSPFD Logging Messages

This appendix lists the various logging messages that can be produced by the OSPF implementation. The format of each message is given, together with its logging level and a brief description of the message’s meaning. A general discussion of the implementation’s message logging can be found in Chapter 5, Building Blocks.

Messages have been divided into three broad categories. Messages about the configuration and administration of the OSPF router are numbered starting at 1. Error messages are numbered starting at 100. Informational messages start at 200.

When describing message formats, the following shorthand is used:
