OS X includes four applications for interacting with the Internet:

Mail enables you to exchange email messages, create to-do lists, and subscribe to RSS feeds.

Messages (formerly iChat) enables you to exchange instant messages and conduct audio or video conferences with OS X, iOS, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber, and Yahoo! users.

FaceTime enables you to conduct video phone calls with OS X Lion and Mountain Lion users, as well as some iPhone and iPad users.

Safari enables you to browse websites, download files from FTP sites, and save Web pages to read later.
