5.4.1 Corporate Management

The chief executive and several top executives who are involved in policy decision are included in those who comprise corporate management. The following are the main functions of corporate management in relation to organisational change (Fig. 5.2).

Legitimising

Corporate management legitimises the change being planned, recommended, and implemented. The more actively the corporate management promotes the change, the more legitimate it becomes and the quicker it is likely to be accepted.
