Max liked the idea of having a template to use to create his clusters quickly and with little configuration, but understands that you need to know how things work when things go wrong. In this chapter, we will concentrate on the Oracle Clusterware side of grid infrastructure, explaining the new concepts, architecture, and hopefully clearing up some of the more challenging parts of the changes made in this release. Not much practical in here for Max to get his hands dirty with, but Chapter 4 provides more hands-on install requirements and an installation or upgrade guide.
