When to Use a One-Day Program

A one-day session is appropriate when

  • key people within the organization will support only an abbreviated program

  • the targeted audience is 12 or more

  • training facilities for groups are available only for one day

  • guest facilitators are available only for one day.

Choosing the Content

The content should include the following standard topics for a new employee orientation program:

  • Company history and context

  • Compensation and benefits

  • Policies and procedures

  • Employee programs and services.
