Turning Automatic Login Back On

If you've disabled automatic login but you want to turn it on again, here's how:

  1. Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences. The System Preferences window appears.

  2. Click the Accounts icon under the System category. The Accounts window appears.

  3. Click the lock icon in the bottom-left corner of the Accounts window. A dialog appears, asking for your password.

  4. Type your password in the Password text box and click OK.

  5. Click Login Options in the lower-left corner of the Accounts window, as shown in Figure 52-2.

  6. Click the Automatic login pop-up menu and choose an account name. You can define only one account for your Macintosh to log in to automatically.

  7. Click the close button of the Accounts window.
