  1. Distinguish between useful feedback and feedback that does not really help employees improve their performances.

  2. Catch yourself giving controlling styles of feedback and switch over to more informative styles in order to maximize intrinsic motivation.

  4. Know how to engage employees in participative design of informative feedback systems
