Part III of the Word 2007 Bible focuses on aspects of Word that can make a writer's life heaven or hell. What do you do when Word automatically corrects things that aren't mistakes? Once you've perfected your prose or formatting, what's the best Word technique for bottling your work so you can reuse it later for something else? Why is Word underlining words you type with different colors and various kinds of zigzags?

Chapter 12 begins with Word's different language tools—spell checking, grammar checking, and the thesaurus. Chapter 13 introduces new Word 2007 features—Building Block and Quick Parts—and shows you their relationship to AutoText. Chapter 14 shows you how to use and control AutoCorrect, a feature that can save you work by automatically fixing your mistakes as well as letting you use shorthand to blaze through tough passages that require using and reusing tedious and repetitive words and phrases. Chapter 15 will tell you everything you need to know about AutoFormat, and how it can sometimes save you a lot of work. Finally, Chapter 16 will save you a trip to the eye doctor by explaining those purple dots you've been seeing, including how to use them or (perhaps even better) how to turn them off.
