Using the Copy Web Site Tool

The Copy Web Site Tool is accessed from the Website menu. It has a left pane that shows all of the source files (those files that are to be deployed), and a right pane that lists all of the files that currently exist on the source (see Figure 12.20). As we mentioned initially, this tool actually performs a two-way synchronization. If you look closely at Figure 12.20, you see arrows next to each of the files. Arrows pointing to the right indicate that the file will be pushed up to the target location, and arrows pointing to the left indicate files that will be copied down to the local project.
