Service Manager 2012 and the Infrastructure Optimization Model

One of the key concepts that Microsoft uses to frame the discussion around IT process management is infrastructure optimization. Microsoft’s concept of infrastructure optimization for information technology is built around four levels of optimization: basic, standardized, rationalized, and dynamic. Each of these optimization levels has different characteristics, as described in Table 16.1.
