Recovering a Content Database

Despite being protected as part of the SharePoint farm, content databases can be recovered individually just like any other SQL Server database. The only difference from a SQL Server database recovery is that the content database recovery object needs to be selected from under the <database server name>\<Config Database Name> object that is used to represent the SharePoint farm within the DPM Administrator Console, as shown in Figure 11.15.
