Creating New Sites via the Web Interface
In SharePoint 2010—as long as you have Silverlight 2.0 or greater installed—choosing to create a New Site via Site Actions presents a Create dialog as shown in Figure 8.1, which shows a partial listing of available site templates in a SharePoint Server 2010 enterprise deployment. By default, all site templates, or types, are shown, though you can filter them on type by selecting from the categories in the left-hand menu.
