Deleting Sites in SharePoint Designer
Deleting sites in SharePoint Designer is similar to deleting sites via the Web interface, although the delete command is much more directly accessible in the SharePoint Designer ribbon, as shown in Figure 8.31, than via the Web interface, which involves accessing a site’s Site Settings page and then locating the specific textual command for deleting a site.

Similar behavior is exhibited as when you delete sites via the Web interface. A confirmation dialog is presented before a site is finally deleted, as shown in Figure 8.32.
