OneNote works hand in glove with two other Microsoft Office 2010 applications: Microsoft Word 2010 and Microsoft Outlook 2010.

In the case of Word, you can open a OneNote page in Word 2010. All formats except styles transfer to the Word page. After you edit the page in Word, you can save it as a Word document.

In the case of Outlook 2010, you can create an Outlook task in OneNote without having to open Outlook, and you can get information about a meeting directly from Outlook as well.
