Chapter 5. Basic IM and Presence Scenarios
This chapter describes the basic login, presence, and instant messaging (IM) scenarios by first providing a user-level view of actions taken in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 and then explaining in depth the protocols, algorithms, and systems that make these processes work.
