Much of Access programming is event-driven; your VBA code doesn’t just execute at will. The code you write is not constantly running as in a more traditional program. Access itself manages a lot of the interaction between the user and the data. So the code snippets you construct will be triggered by events that occur as the user interfaces with your application design.
