Introduction

Not every design created in Expression Design is made up solely of paths, shapes, and bitmap graphics. In fact, a good number of them also include text. No matter if it’s a few simple words or a full story containing many paragraphs, Expression Design makes creating and formatting text simple.

In this chapter, you’ll learn how to use the Text tool to insert text into your documents. You’ll also learn how to format selected text using the various settings in the Text pane of the Properties panel.
