Dashboards

Dashboards have been improved in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 and are now front and center with regard to their usage and importance. It was the goal of the CRM product team to develop the Dashboard interface to such a level as to make it the main starting page for usage for data consumption by the organization.

Note

Dashboards are a key differentiator when using the different system licenses. In fact, if you’re using the Essential client access license (CAL) (the lowest one offered by Microsoft), any usage of the dashboards at all will push you up to the next level of CAL (either Professional or Basic at a minimum).

Figure 7.6 shows the Sales Performance Dashboard, with the option to select between dashboards expanded.
