Business Process Flows (BPFs)

Business process flows (BPFs) are a new enhancement to Dynamics CRM 2013, and they bring the power of guided business rules to the application.

Unlike workflow processes (which still exist), BPFs are designed to work with users and guide them through a variety of business processes.

Note

BPFs are designed to guide a user, whereas workflows tend to run in the background.

BPFs were originally introduced in the Polaris update, but they have been refined in Dynamics CRM 2013, and as shown in Figure 2.11, allow the organization to manage the specific process that a user needs to complete.
