8.1. Introduction

In Chapter 2, we looked at collecting business data requirements, and in Chapter 6 and Chapter 7, we looked at the documentation and annotation of metadata for proposed master data objects and existing replicas of master data objects. But a core issue for MDM is the ability to capture, consolidate, and then deliver the master representation for each uniquely identifiable entity.
