The Desktop Picture

Here’s a secret: in the Desktop pane, you can drag almost any graphics file—even a PDF or Photoshop file—directly onto the well (the preview square at the top of the pane, as seen in Figure 5-9). When you release the image, it becomes the new desktop background.

The Desktop preference pane lets you use almost any image type as your desktop background. So if you want a reminder why you’re working so hard, go ahead and use a PDF of your 2002 tax return as your desktop picture.
